If you don't want to do all that, then delete the skin parts and append a new nude top. Then, click on one of the two groups, and shift click on the remaining group.
On your other remaining group, delete uv_0 and rename the top uv for uv_0. Click on this new group, and delete the top UV. Press P/selection to separate the body into another group. If you don't want to re do the uvmap of the shirt, what i suggest is disabling 'limited dissolved' (as pointed here), hover your mouse over the skin portions of the body and press L each time to select each chunk of their mesh. This doesn't affect really how it displays in-game but i'm always in for having the screen clean with all the proper groups and names so it's more organized and easy to spot issues.
